About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager - Seafreight to join the team. As a Key Account Manager - Seafreight, you will be responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts in the freight/cargo forwarding industry, focused on seafreight shipments. This is a full-time, office-based role located in Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong District.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Key Account Management: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment with customer needs

  • Operational Oversight: Lead the operational team responsible for the end-to-end sea freight consolidation process, conducting analyses for volume forecasts and sailing plans.

  • Daily Operations Management: Ensure smooth daily operations, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and high service quality levels.

  • Customer Engagement: Regularly engage with customers through meetings, conference calls, and presentations to better understand their requirements, build trust, and ensure a unified approach to account management.

  • Tailored Solutions Development: Understand customer requirements to design customized solutions and implement strategic business development plans that leverage the company's offerings.

  • Project Leadership: Lead projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing customer acquisition, implementations, and the development of products and systems.

 

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar key account management or sales role within the freight/cargo forwarding industry, preferably with a focus on seafreight

  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring new business, growing existing accounts and maintaining high customer satisfaction

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal stakeholders

  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities to handle complex client requests and challenges

  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting to drive informed business decisions

  • Knowledge of freight/cargo forwarding processes, regulations and industry best practices

  • Fluency in English and Cantonese, with Mandarin skills an advantage
