About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager - Seafreight to join the team. As a Key Account Manager - Seafreight, you will be responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts in the freight/cargo forwarding industry, focused on seafreight shipments. This is a full-time, office-based role located in Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong District.
What you'll be doing

Key Account Management: Act as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment with customer needs

Operational Oversight: Lead the operational team responsible for the end-to-end sea freight consolidation process, conducting analyses for volume forecasts and sailing plans.

Daily Operations Management: Ensure smooth daily operations, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and high service quality levels.

Customer Engagement: Regularly engage with customers through meetings, conference calls, and presentations to better understand their requirements, build trust, and ensure a unified approach to account management.

Tailored Solutions Development: Understand customer requirements to design customized solutions and implement strategic business development plans that leverage the company's offerings.

Project Leadership: Lead projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing customer acquisition, implementations, and the development of products and systems.
What we're looking for

Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar key account management or sales role within the freight/cargo forwarding industry, preferably with a focus on seafreight

Proven track record of successfully acquiring new business, growing existing accounts and maintaining high customer satisfaction

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal stakeholders

Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities to handle complex client requests and challenges

Proficient in data analysis and reporting to drive informed business decisions

Knowledge of freight/cargo forwarding processes, regulations and industry best practices

Fluency in English and Cantonese, with Mandarin skills an advantage
